New Year, New Everything

It's a New Year as we all know - which means new resolutions, or old ones being revived again.

Part of my resolution is to focus on bettering and making time for myself. Like most people, I want run more, get more sleep, have a cleaner house, etc. But another thing I want to focus on is my blog. I realize after 2 years, one failed blog, and one neglected blog - that blogging is not my style.

As of now, I think my blog will have no central focus. I want to just have a safe place to express my thoughts and feelings. So as the new year starts I'll post anything and everything that appeals to mee, and I hope you will still enjoy.

Stay Tuned & Happy New Years everybody ~ !!

Stand Tall

As July nears its end, Chicago is still surprisingly cool. With temperatures still in the 70s a heavier shirt seemed more necessary. I was really in the mood to wear my ombre chambray shirt as today was my day off of work, and its so comfy! In an attempt to keep it from getting to grungy or heavy I also wore a simple white crop top and lace shorts. And even though it doesn't feel like it, it is summer so I opted for some white cross heeled sandals.

These past two weeks have been beyond a blur! I have been up to Minnesota visiting friends and prepping for school but I have also been down to the city for a fun concert experience getaway! Not only has work been demanding the greater majority of my time, I am also preparing to live off campus with friends for the upcoming school year! Oh the stress and anxiety!

We Don't Create Trends

With Chicago going through its "summer polar vortex," today felt like the perfect day to dig up one of my favorite typography tees. I made myself even more comfortable, pairing it with my favorite flannel and black skinnies. This seemed like the perfect outfit to wear lazily around the house or out with friends.

And I did both. I wore this 90's inspired grunge look out to sushi with friends, and then we all lounged around and caught up at home. Despite the stressful morning due to work, the colder weather didn't ruin my day.
